CHICAGO (October 21, 2022) The Board of Directors of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) announces the appointment of Keri Kramer, CAE, as its first Chief Executive Officer. Kramer assumed the role on October 17, 2022. Former executive director Chris Welber remains on staff in a senior role.
Kramer has more than 20 years of senior staff experience in associations. She is joining NANS from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, where she held the role of Chief Operating Officer and managed offices in the US and China. At the Council, she guided the international organization throughout the pandemic, reinvigorating its governance model to encourage more member participation, reenvisioning its annual conference as an innovative, multi-city series, and implementing a new membership model.
Her previous roles include Chief Credentialing Operations Officer for the Dental Assisting National Board, Director of Member Engagement and Operations at the American Epilepsy Society, and Director of Marketing and Membership for the Society for Vascular Surgery. She serves on the International Advisory Council for ASAE and the Access to Quality Jobs Council for Women Employed. She holds the Certified Association Executive credential from ASAE.
“Keri brings in a wealth of experience and leadership skills in organizational management and strategic planning,” Dr. Salim Hayek, president of NANS Board of Directors, said. “NANS is looking forward to its next chapter with Keri at the helm.”
