This event combines didactics on spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal drug delivery systems, as well as other approved clinical applications of neuromodulation strategies, with practical hands-on training in a cadaver laboratory. This premier training opportunity offers pain medicine fellows the opportunity to learn cutting-edge neuromodulation techniques and principles of implementation in clinical practice. Techniques explored include spinal cord trials and implants, intrathecal drug delivery trials and implants, peripheral nerve stimulation, suturing, and maintenance of neuromodulation therapies. Participants are under the direction of experienced faculty. This workshop’s intent is to foster a platform for networking and to create excitement in the neuromodulation space. This workshop will take place Thursday, July 15, 2021, prior to the start of the North American Neuromodulation Society’s (NANS) Mid-Year Meeting. The Mid-Year Meeting sessions will take place Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 17 at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort in Orlando, FL. To be eligible to complete this survey, your specialty must in the field of Pain. Workshop participants must be NANS members in good standing. NANS membership at the Student/Trainee/Resident rate is $50.
Registration and attendance at the NANS Mid-Year Meeting are requirements for participation in this workshop. Accepted individuals of the workshop will receive discounted registration to the NANS Mid-Year Meeting. Please do not register for the Meeting until you know your application status.
