The following are answers to some of the most-asked questions about NANS meetings. If you have a question you’d like answered here, please send your questions to info@neuromodulation.org.

General Meeting Information

Neural Interfaces 2021: The NANS-NIC Joint Meeting will take place virtually on June 25-26, 2021. The virtual meeting content will be available beginning June 18, 2021, with interactive exhibits opening June 24, 2021. Sessions will be available on-demand through July 25, 2021. 

Plenary Sessions and Concurrent Sessions will include a live-moderated Q&A with an interactive chat feature to communicate with faculty. Abstracts will be available in the E-Poster Gallery. There will also be designated abstract sessions on Zoom where attendees can ask the Presenting Author questions about his or her abstract.

Virtual Meeting Tip! Check your Connection

Make sure your internet connection is strong. If your WiFi is not reliable, you can:

  • Close out other applications
  • Be near your WiFi router
  • Connect your computer directly to you internet router using an Ethernet cable

How will I interact with faculty?

The plenary and concurrent sessions will feature a live-streamed, moderated Q&A. All sessions will also have an interactive chat feature. In the interactive chat, attendees will be able to ask questions directly to presenters in the “Questions and Answers” pane. Moderators will be able to use these questions during the live Q&A discussion. Faculty will also be able to see the questions assigned to them and can choose which to answer. Once faculty submit an answer, both the question and answer will be published to all meeting attendees in the “Questions and Answers” pane.

What is the cancellation policy?

No refunds will be given in the event you are unable to attend the live meeting as sessions will be available on demand beginning June 18 through July 25, 2021. If you experience any technical issues during the live sessions or in the event you are no longer able to attend the meeting, please contact the NANS Office at (847) 375-4714 or info@neuromodulation.org.

NANS reserves the right to substitute faculty or to cancel or reschedule sessions due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If NANS must cancel the entire meeting, registrants will receive a full credit or refund of their paid registration fee. No refunds can be made for any other expenses related to attending the virtual meeting. 

Will the sessions be available for viewing after the live event?

Yes, all sessions will be recorded and made available on-demand following the meeting until July 25, 2021.
